History, beer and ice-skating, it must be Elite's alternative Christmas party
Thank you Christmas Fairy for the annual Elite Designers Team Trip. Past travels have taken us skiing in Switzerland and France and, closer to home, fishing on the Isle of Wight – all with varying degrees of success. More recently we visited Brussels and Venice and some of us are still working off the cake-laden charms of Budapest. Our latest outing was to Berlin – a city at once blessed and cursed by history. Brandenburg Gate, Museum Island, Checkpoint Charlie, the former Luftwaffe HQ, the 1920’s Cabaret Mile, the Old Royal Boulevard, Gendarmenmarkt, the TV Tower and Pariser Platz were just some of the sights we managed to squeeze into our flying visit whilst of course making time to enjoy lots of hearty German dishes, the odd local beer and brushing up on our ice-skating. Auf Wiedersehen Berlin – we’ll be back.
