New Design Creates Space for Work & Leisure
The owners of this stunning home on a picturesque road in St John's Wood were ahead of most in anticipating the importance of creating a space in which work and home lives can happily co-exist. Having found their previous home restrictive, they took the significant decision to demolish it and to build anew. The resulting property extends to just under 1000m² and as well as five en-suite bedrooms and staff accommodation, incorporates a generously proportioned double basement with pool, gym, sauna, art and wine stores.
Elite Designers were responsible for the design of the temporary and permanent works. The design of the basement in particular required sensitive and detailed consideration given the concerns of surrounding neighbours regarding the potential impact of the works on their homes and on the local water table.
