Sympathetic restoration project
Elite Designers was retained with a brief to support the sensitive restoration of this elegant Georgian townhouse. From a structural point of view the key challenge centred on the creation of a light-well to brighten up the space to the rear of the property which was previously dark and uninviting. As a listed building, it was imperative that our approach to the design and detailing of the structural works be sympathetic to the overall aesthetic and meet with the approval of planners. Ultimately all challenges were overcome with the benefit of input from our in-house conservation expert and the outcome was a gloriously restored, light-flooded home redolent with the hallmarks of its Georgian heritage.
